Transcript: The space race began in 1952 in the middle of the Cold War. The Soviet Union's launch of Sputnik 1 led to the creation of NASA. People had to look though telescopes to study the stars before spaceships were invented. People used to believe in the geocentric theory that Earth was the center of the universe. Galileo's telescope proved that the geocentric theory was wrong and introduced the heliocentric theory that the Sun was the galaxy. Then spaceships proved that the Sun was not the center of the galaxy, but was only the center of our solar system. Life after the invention of the spaceships will most likely lead to colonies in space and humans on Mars. Some pros of spaceships are we can see the stars even better than before. We are also able to travel into space and to launch satellites in order to study the other planets better. For example, Jupiter, the largest planet, appears small in a telescope, not good for studying. Spaceships improved that study because satellites have now been sent to Jupiter to study it at close range. Some of the cons are spaceships take a lot of money and manpower to launch. They are extremely dangerous because an accident most likely will be fatal. The space junk made from staging rockets going up into space may crash into the earth at any moment and could hurt the people below.

Transcript: Spaceship Adventure We would have a green house on all three levels of the ship, so it can obsorb the carbon dioxide and create oxygen. the waste from the bathroom would be converted into fetilizer for the plants We would have a vent connected to the green house and it would supply the oxygen to all the other rooms of the ship. Water room is put under presure so that it flows out of a tap and into our mouth.
